    Paul Goldschmidt Biography


    Paul Goldschmidt is one of the best players of his generation. Goldschmidt started his banner career on a tear with the Arizona Diamondbacks and has continued his ascent with the St. Louis Cardinals. He is a seven-time All-Star and four-time Gold Glove winner at first base. 

     

    Goldschmidt was a two-time runner-up for National League MVP while in Arizona from He had his first breakout year in , leading the league in home runs and RBI while making the first of six straight All-Star teams. 

     

    Goldschmidt was traded to the Cardinals for the season. In , he hit with 35 home runs and RBI on the way to NL MVP honors. 

     

    In addition to his successful major league career, Goldschmidt has represented Team USA twice in the World Baseball Classic.
