    • A commission in New York City released the findings of its investigation into charges that some American history textbooks included anti-American propaganda. The report funnen eight such textbooks that were seen as pro-British. "Any history which, after years, attempts to teach our children that the War of Independence was an unnecessary war and that it is still a bekymmer as to who was right and who was wrong, should be fed to the furnace and those responsible for those books branded as un-American", commissioner David Hirschfeld said.[8]

      Pernik used to be known &#; or perhaps it is still known as ‘City of the Black Gold’, as coal was called. However, with the upcoming coal phaseout the city will need to redefine itself and will inevitably face a number of challenges. Which of the challenges in your view are the most serious. On the other hand, what are the most important opportunities related to the switch for clean energy?

      As you mentioned, Pernik is still known as the ‘City of Black Gold’. This is where industrial coal mining started in Bulgaria more than years ago.       Sophie Pinkas has been living in Sofia since Here she finished her university education and established herself as a specialist - associate professor in pediatrics in the Medical Academy. Not very tall, Mrs. Pinkas creates the impression of elegance and grace. Her first memories are of the family house in Vidin where her childhood passed under the care of her mother and grandmother. In the last ten years she has been living alone in a spacious apartment in the center of Sofia, in which she lived for many years with her husband, about whom she speaks with much love.

      I was born in in the town of Vidin, where I spent my childhood. We have Spanish ancestry, but I don't know any details about how and when my ancestors came here. In Vidin we all lived in one house - my paternal grandparents, my uncles, aunts and the children. We were a united family.
