A stage play tagged, ‘Philomena’, is set to hold between February 11 and 14, 2022, in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. It will feature actors such as Monalisa Chinda, Charles Inojie, Francis Duru, Ejike Asiegbu, Don Kester and Tammy Abraham
Written and directed by Nollywood veteran, Bimbo Manuel, it is being organised by K’Ike Productions Limited.
According to a statement sent to Merrymakers, the play tells the story of three persons who find themselves, by pure chance, in the same space at the same time, each with their personal issues. Each character seeks justification for their rage at society, government and life.
Speaking about the play, Manuel said, “Philomena: Interview with a Prostitute’ cannot be contained in just a book anymore. Like the little acorn, the intensive little play has grown to become a massive star-studded theatrical phenomenon.”
