Prior to his retirement, Victor Peng served as President, Adaptive and Embedded Computing Group at Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (“AMD”) and was responsible for managing all aspects of strategy, business management, engineering and sales for FPGAs, Adaptive SoCs and embedded processors. Mr. Peng rejoined AMD in 2022 after 14 years at Xilinx, most recently serving as President, Chief Executive Officer and member of the Board of Directors. Mr. Peng has close to 40 years of experience defining and delivering leadership technologies across FPGAs, SoCs, GPUs and high-performance CPUs.
During his tenure as Chief Executive Officer of Xilinx, Mr. Peng solidified Xilinx’s leadership as the number 1 provider of FPGAs and Adaptive SoCs and led the development of Xilinx’s strategic growth strategy. Mr. Peng oversaw Xilinx’s transformation from a silicon to platform solutions provider, including the introduction of the industry’s first Adaptive Compute Acceleration Platforms

Cisco Restructuring: Big Changes Coming For Channel-Facing Execs, Programs
Big changes are in the works for Cisco's Worldwide Partner Organization (WWPO) in the midst of Cisco's ongoing corporate restructuring, including yet-to-be-determined changes to the WWPO's share of Cisco's overall resource pool, a number of major Cisco executive shifts directly relevant to the channel, and some strategic moves that in theory will mean greater emphasis on partner-led sales with Cisco.
The various changes -- some strategic, some organizational, some tied to specific executives -- were confirmed to CRN by sources with direct knowledge of the WWPO and how Cisco is revamping both the WWPO and the global sales organization during its restructuring.
The various moves come following several successive quarters' worth of disappointing earnings from Cisco and an ongoing series of high-profile headaches for Cisco, including several major executive departures in recent months.

Stepping Up for Our Vets
After some research, I found Alpha K9, a vet-owned 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that we could partner with. The founder, Kevin Cameron, has trained military working dogs for the army and is a nationally recognized expert on service dogs. As a non-profit, they were able to provide dogs (the majority are rescue dogs) to a vet for about $3,000. This was an exciting discovery. So I developed a proposal to raise funds to help Alpha K9 get more dogs into the hands of vets.
Employees at Cisco are encouraged to share their expertise and support their communities through volunteering and donations. This makes it easy for employees like me to get involved in initiatives that we are passionate about. I took this initiative to the vet ERO leadership, and they were very supportive.
