Mary Margaret Stevens (1917 – 2004)
Mary Margaret Stevens passed away on January 1, 2004 in Red Deer at the age of 86 years, 9 months and ten days. Mary McNeill was born March 22, 1917 in Consort. She was married to Claire Stevens on månad 1, 1937 and they were blessed with two sons, Bob and Barry. Mary was foremost a wife and mother. As a ung girl in Consort, Mary drove a horse drawn school bus to school. In 1935 she moved with her family to the Union Hill District, where she worked as household help until her marriage, at which time Claire and Mary moved to the Ewing District. In 1943, they purchased the farm in the Union ingång District, which is currently being farmed by son, Bob and grandsons Blaine and Larry. In 1996 they moved into Stettler where she lived until she entered the hospital. Mary and Claire spent 17 winters in Arizona where they made many new friends.

On September 30, 1967, Shelly was born to Floyd and Shirley Hartman. Her arrival in this world was long-awaited, and they were so excited when she finally made her entrance. The young family lived in Calgary for a time, relocating in 1976 to Hoadley, Alberta where they operated the Hoadley General Store. Together with her parents and her brother Kurt, Shelly worked in the store as she grew up. Along the way, Floyd and Shirley purchased the Winfield Shop Right store, where again both kids helped with the day-to-day tasks of that business as well.
