Cavafy, Alexandros Kotzias etc. He specializes in the work of C.P. Cavafy and George Seferis. He is a member of the Hellenic Authors’ Society and has received 2 honorary doctorates from the Universities of Thessaloniki () and of Patras (). In he received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Petros Charis Foundation of the Academy of Athens for his poetry, while in he received the Grand Prize of the literary magazine O Anagnostis. His most recent book is Territorial Waters, Studies on Modern Greek Literature ().

The Greek collector Dimitris Daskalopoulos is known not only as the owner of one of today's conceptually strongest collections of contemporary art but also as one of the most influential personalities on the current art scene in general. A visionary and philanthropist, Daskalopoulos is on the board of trustees of the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation as well as on the International Councils of New York's New Museum and Tate International. He is also a founding partner of the Whitechapel Gallery Future Fund. In Daskalopoulos created a non-profit cultural organisation called NEON, whose goal is to support and promote contemporary art in Greece and particularly Athens.
